Banmirra Arts runs healing programs including possum skin cloak making workshops across the South East of Australia.

Possum skin cloaks are one of our most sacred expressions as Aboriginal people from the South East of Australia.

Banmirra works in partnership with local Aboriginal Elders and community groups. The cloak making workshops enable Aboriginal people to connect with culture and to stand tall and proud. The feedback from participants is that the revival of cloak making and associated ceremonies are helping to heal communities negatively affected by inter-generational grief, loss and trauma.
